The Loop Economy: A Universal Combinatorial Marketplace Without a Platform

Duration: NaN:NaN:NaN

Speaker: Peter Foldiak

Type: Lightning Talk

Expertise: No prior knowledge

Event: Devcon

Date: Nov 2026

Most mutually profitable trades never happen: the cost of discovering them exceeds their surplus — the double coincidence of wants, unsolved off-chain. This talk shows how Ethereum-native mechanism design closes that gap for the real economy. Knowledge shared: (1) one uniform, content-addressed offer form in which meanings, time windows and regions are ordered by one fits-within relation (a concept DAG); (2) personal tokens as per-maker numeraires — k asks and m bids need k+m offers, not k×m rates; (3) loops found as negative cycles by competing solvers, settled in batch auctions — intent/solver design generalized beyond tokens; (4) the offer book as signed feeds on Swarm: no platform to capture or censor; (5) what stays hard: oracles for physical delivery, zero-knowledge fits-within proofs for private matching, wash loops, ontology capture. Why now: solver ecologies are proven on-chain, physical rails (locker networks, V2G) exist, and a working open-source prototype runs on Swarm.
