🛖 Resilient Networking Hub - Building Resilient Ethereum

Duration: NaN:NaN:NaN

Speaker: Manu Sheel Gupta, Shouki Tsuda

Type: Workshop

Expertise: Some familiarity with the topic

Event: Devcon

Date: Nov 2026

Ethereum’s resilience is a collective achievement, sustained by protocol researchers, consensus client teams, security practitioners, networking maintainers, and the open-source communities that steward its critical infrastructure. This combined session at the Resilient Networking Hub, within the libp2p Expedition at Devcon 8, brings these perspectives together to explore how we can strengthen the foundations of Ethereum’s resilience. We will examine libp2p as a shared networking substrate across Ethereum consensus clients, exploring interoperability, implementation diversity, and the challenges of maintaining secure, privacy preserving and permissionless connectivity under adversarial and unreliable network conditions. We will bring a post-quantum perspective to Ethereum’s P2P stack, examining cryptographic exposure in peer identities, discovery handshakes, and transport security, alongside migration strategies including hybrid ML-KEM key exchange, quantum-resistant identity schemes.
