🛖 Prediction Market Community Hub

Duration: NaN:NaN:NaN

Speaker: Devansh Mehta

Type: Talk

Expertise: No prior knowledge

Event: Devcon

Date: Nov 2026

While prediction markets have gone mainstream, the layer underneath that makes them trustworthy hasn’t. Disputed outcomes often go to token-weighted votes that large holders can sway. Liquidity is still an unsolved problem and subsidized by the platforms. And most crucially, what new use cases can go beyond sports and politics towards trades surfacing actual information? The Devcon Prediction Markets Community Hub is less for talks and much more participatory discussions by experts and newcomers on these open challenges. Each roundtable would begin with a theme and an expert practitioner introducing the tradeoffs from their own work. The floor then opens for a general Chatham house rules discussion, followed by a summary of each session posted online.
