How to build a society incubator - Edge City

Duration: NaN:NaN:NaN

Speaker: Telamon Ardavanis

Type: Lightning Talk

Expertise: No prior knowledge

Event: Devcon

Date: Nov 2026

I run partnerships and scouting at Edge City. This is the build guide, not the brochure. The mechanics: weeks to months, ten to twelve venues, every bed within a 20 minute walk, two to three hundred full-time residents anchoring about a thousand visitors. At Edge Esmeralda we ran 1000+ sessions and 93% were organized by residents, not by us. A bazaar, not a cathedral. How to break even, as a nonprofit. Why this belongs in India. Talent is everywhere, density is not, and density sits in one place that can gatekeep who reaches it. A popup village manufactures density somewhere else for a month without asking permission. Ours lands in Goa in October. You should leave able to plan your own.
