Getting to Lean Ethereum

Duration: NaN:NaN:NaN

Speaker: Lean Ferrigno, Ivan

Type: Talk

Expertise: Some familiarity with the topic

Event: Devcon

Date: Nov 2026

Lean Ethereum is usually presented as a destination but the path is not one hard fork but two roadmaps that have to converge, one of incremental mainnet changes and one of the greenfield lean stack now being hardened in post-quantum devnets. We work on both sides of that convergence. We build ethrex, an execution client running in production and prototyping post-Glamsterdam EIPs, and ethlambda, a lean consensus client in the interop devnets. We are actively working through the transition roadmap this talk describes. The talk maps the dependency graph and show results, describe the roadmap ahead, our insights and lessons learnt to move forward.
