Enterprise Ethereum's Last Mile: A Practitioner's View

Duration: NaN:NaN:NaN

Type: Lightning Talk

Expertise: Some familiarity with the topic

Event: Devcon

Date: Nov 2026

Leading engineering for an enterprise piloting Ethereum, I've observed a consistent pattern across ten distinct problem areas: Ethereum's research has already solved these in isolation — ZK privacy, ERC-725 identity, MEV mitigation. However, none have crossed into adoption-ready enterprise infrastructure. Even mature efforts like SUAVE remain alpha-stage, with only pieces (Flashnet, Rollup-Boost) reaching production. For each of the ten areas, I will highlight what is solved at the protocol/research level, but is missing for enterprise deployment, and why that gap persists despite years of work. This matters now as institutional interest in on-chain settlement accelerates faster than infrastructure maturity. The insight is not a wishlist or requirements for Ethereum foundation but a map of where the ecosystem's research-to-production gap actually sits, drawn from real-world ethereum evaluation.
