Millions are stolen every year where attackers use DAOs own rules. One vote of a founder moves the treasury of a DAO to the dev company. Turnover is low. I walk through the 2025-2026 empirical record on delegate concentration and vote markets, then sort mitigations into three classes: guardrails, market mechanisms and identity-weighted schemes.
Attendees leave with an understanding that DAOs should not only be a thing we use to fake decentralization, but a calculated governance body with resistance to typical attacks.
Governance will always be under radar before it's too late to improve it. Unless we talk about it openly.
