Connecting Funders and Builders

Duration: NaN:NaN:NaN

Speaker: Thomas Humphreys

Type: Lightning Talk

Expertise: No prior knowledge

Event: Devcon

Date: Nov 2026

Funding opportunities for builders are spread across sites, forums, and other discourses. A funder publishing a Request for Proposal (RFP) can't run a fair, wide process because they are limited by their own distribution. RFP Search is an open standard and one public API for these opportunities, and we're seeding the launch with grants, hackathons, bounties, and RFPs. It's built to be forked and integrated so that anyone can run it themselves and contribute to the codebase, while introducing an MCP server and agent skill, both available from day one, to future-proof discovery that will happen through agents. This initiative is funded by the Ethereum Foundation, built by the Karma team, and is live today. This talk covers the reasoning briefly and puts three asks to the room: (1) funders, publish your opportunities here; (2) builders, curate the opportunities and integrate against the API or contribute to the codebase; and (3) everyone, help shape the standard as it grows.
