Open source protocol software such as the Lighthouse consensus client has increasingly become the target of AI powered security scanners and bug bounty seekers. Triaging and validating reports is a growing problem, but one that needs to be addressed to ensure the security of Ethereum. Sigma Prime, as maintainers of lighthouse, have developed a Web3 focused security scanning suite that is being used to find and validate vulnerabilities. This talk will focus on how that software has been applied to Lighthouse and the ecosystem at large and the challenges posed by the growing sophistication of agentic vulnerability scanning.
