Ethereum’s scaling has created a diverse landscape of rollups, bridges, ecosystems, standards, and communities. That diversity brought experimentation and scale, but also fragmented liquidity, UX, tooling, and increasingly, Ethereum’s own identity. As the original rollup-centric vision is being reassessed and new interoperability and aggregation approaches emerge, the question is no longer only how to make Ethereum technically feel like one system. It is also how to preserve a shared sense of Ethereum across increasingly independent ecosystems and competing visions. Technical interoperability is only one part of that problem. This conversation explores what should feel unified, what should remain independent, and which shared principles can enable coordination without sacrificing sovereignty, decentralization, privacy, or pluralism. How can Ethereum become more coherent without becoming more centralized?
